Our ethnic collection has themes inspired from all over the country, be it- Madhubani, Warli, Kalamkari, Kerala Murals, Gond Art or more. We love to paint gods, animals, women, and most of all peacocks.
Madhubani art is a very popular Indian style of painting, and it practised all over northern India, mostly Bihar. Paneni paints borders on dupattas in Madhubani and mixes and matches design with other types of art, such as gond art.
Gond art is a form of painting from folk and tribal art that is practised by one of the largest tribes in India – the Gond – who are predominantly from Madhya Pradesh. We love painting Gond art on our dupattas, makes for interesting work.
We also are inspired by Kerala Murals paintings, which are the frescos depicting Hindu mythology and legends, typically drawn on the walls of temples and churches in South India, principally in Kerala. Paneni takes it off the walls and adds it to our dupattas!
You can find more about each kind of art on our blog! If you like something which is to your taste, head over to our customise page and we'll make it for you!
